I love the feeling of having the people I love gathered around my table — the warmth, the flow. It’s the kind of moment that makes me feel full and accomplished. The smell of something slowly cooking in the kitchen, a sauce or tender meat that’s been simmering for hours, the spices rising with the soft sound of the cocotte — my madeleine de Proust from childhood. I think of my grandmother in her small kitchen during our holidays in Deauville, the house filled with the scent of comfort and time.
I take so much pleasure in setting the scene: the beauty of the plates with their flowery patterns, the softness of the napkins, the poetry hidden in small details. Every element matters — not for perfection, but for the pleasure of the eye, the senses, and the joy of making others feel special.
I love when a meal turns into an evening that stretches for hours — glasses filled and refilled, laughter spilling between stories, flavours mixing with memories. That’s happiness in its simplest form.
Hosting, to me, is an act of love. It’s about creating a moment that lingers long after everyone has gone home, a warmth that stays in the air.
